Carstens (W. Germany) Floor Vase

 The blue hyalyn ginger jar is for size comparison.  The Carstens vase is marked and has a Raymor tag.  I found it at a very out-of-the-way thrift store in Crystal River, FL.

I just saw an antique booth

I just saw an antique booth that had an amazing display of West German pottery--including some amazing Carstens that was matte and rough. Some of it is really amazing. I just can't broaden my focus past American. First of all, there isn't enough space.

 I have seen some very unusual and interesting glazes on W. German pottery, including heavy lava-type pockmarked glazes that can only be described as bizarre!
