Unknown Mugs 1

I've been trying to figure out who might have made these mugs - got them just because I liked the shape. The backstamp is very, very indistinct, although it's clear that there is something there. I must have looked at it under the light for a few hours trying to figure it out, hehe. The bottom is also glazed completely. Anyone have ideas who might have made them?

I like the shape, also. I've never seen these before.

BTW, great phone in the background.

Thanks! A funny thing - I'd had absolutely no luck searching for months who this might be made by. Then literally, 2 minutes after I put this picture on Modish, I took a look on Ebay and found them! They are apparently part of a set of "snack servers" where you have a cup and a tray with an indentation where the cup sits - very popular in the 50s-60s (Fire King, Federal, etc. made a lot of the glass ones).

The only thing - the seller didn't know who they were made by. They did have a marking on the bottom of the snack server tray - "R. Shep Calif", but I don't have a clue who that might be. That's good to know at least they're Californian, so I can try narrow it down a bit.

p.s. thanks, I get a lot of compliments on that yellow phone! It's in the background of many of the photos we take... I yard-saled it for $3 and then fixed it up.
