Stoneware pot

Here's a mystery to me... it's a lovely stoneware cup/pot/vessel that has a great lava glaze and shiny brown glazed interior. The piece came from an estate with Natzler, Pillin, and lots of California artists and potters included. It looks to be hand-coiled on a wheel, and might even be a larger tea bowl.
The signature is too difficult for me to read... it might end in "mar", but who knows?
I wonder if anybody can help identify the signature on the piece. It's about four inches in height. The interior is a very shiny brown glaze
Thanks for looking!
Fran E.

Stoneware cup
I enlarged the cup and still couldn't make out the signature. Could you provide a photo of the cup/bowl, bottom down? Thanks.
Thanks, Mike... I'll put the other photo on the backstamp thread
Dear Mike,
Thanks for looking at it. I'll try to load the rest of the cup on the backstamp thread... unless there is some way to insert it into a reply?
