Sweet! I like the glaze on this humidor a lot. Is there a hint of blue on the edges? The tumblers are great too and the glaze color gradation is very attractive. Is it a gunmetal glaze on the lower portion of the tumblers? I look forward to seeing more G-B photos!
That nifty brass hardware may have been standard vintage hardware that was adapted to the ceramic. Is there a line of graduated color dinnerware similar to the tumblers? How many different colors do we know about?
Metallic Brown Pale Yellow Rust Blue Green Graduated blues
In Boston, I ran across a very traditional piece marked Gorbutt-Bowman. So standard, I passed it by.
I've got some GB bowls and plates that I got as a set -- the bowls are the same green color as your teapot, and the plates are graduated (from the dark green of the teapot to a light green in the center). So, I'm fairly certain that the graduated pieces are from the same line as the uniformly colored pieces.
You mentioned pale yellow and rust as colors you know of -- where'd you see these (in person or online someplace)? I can't seem to find anywhere else online that even mentions Gorbutt-Bowman!

Brian, I did not realize you have some Gorbutt-Bowman dinnerware! Did you find your pieces in Chicago antique stores? Now that I am back from China, I'll have to find my box of G-B and photograph the pieces I have.
Hey Scott, Welcome back from China! I got my pieces on ebay (from a Kansas seller) after really digging on the pieces I saw here. The set was pretty barebones (8 bowls, 12 plates), but I figure it's a good start on a full set. And with something as hard to find as this, I should probably buy whenever I can. Too bad that the really desirable pieces (sugar, creamer humidor) aren't marked! I look forward to seeing pictures of the other pieces from your set. Later, B

The more G-B I see, the more I like. I really liked the "elephant" sugar bowl.
