Sugar with Lid from Gorbutt-Bowman of Topeka, Kansas. This piece is unmarked.
This particular sugar is very heavy - it seems rather thick walled compared to a lot of dinnerware and weighs over 1 lb. I like the look of the finial but the small size and slippery glaze make it difficult to grasp. I'll bet a lot of these lids came crashing down.
