Glidden Feather
First, I've moved your blog post to a Forum topic where I think it is probably best housed.
Glidden Feather was a decoration that has been attributed to Glidden Parker c.1946. However, Ernest Sohn clearly stated that he designed the pattern. My guess is that the earliest Feather-ike decoration was a Glidden Parker design and then Sohn executed something in the same spirit for the actual production line.
Feather is not one of your more sought-after Glidden patterns and it is relatively common. An 11" Feather casserole did not recently sell on eBay, but it had some crazing. Condition figures into the value, and if your piece has any chips, cracks, or crazing, this could significantly affect value. The fact that your bowl is so long is quite interesting and I'm not certain what the shape actually is. Is there a mold number on the underside?
It would be best if you could post your own photo of the piece here including a picture of the underside mark. This will give a better idea of what exactly it is you have.
Glidden Feather oval bowl - number 36
Wow! thanx for answering so quickly. It is number 36. I forgot to mention it is 4" high, with large feather design on both sides and small feather swirls around ends. Here are two pictures (I'm not sure if they uploaded. If not, I can email them to you)
PS - how do I find forum topics?
Oval Bowl
That shape is called, simply, 'oval bowl', according to Margaret Carney's book entitled Glidden.
I'd prefer that you post the pictures, so that everyone can see them. Two ways to do that. If, for some reason, the File Attachment doesn't work for you, you can always click on the picture icon in the rich text editor and browse to your picture on your computer and upload. Then select to add the photo to your post.
You get to the Forums by going to Forums under Menu in the left sidebar.
Best regards,
Mike
GLIDDEN OVAL BOWL PICTURES
The computer shows it is uploading the photos, but I don't see them appear. If the Rich Text Editor is the default choice (there's an option to switch to plain text editor), I don't see a picture icon, just a file attachment option.
If you don't have either of
If you don't have either of these options, then probably best to post your bowl in the User's Gallery. Go to Create Content in the left sidebar and click Gallery Image. BTW, just for my own information, can you tell me what version of what browser you are using? Thanks.

I have put a photo of the #36 Glidden feather bowl in the albums gallery.
