fish plaque
Submitted by Gayle DeGregori on Wed, 03/12/2008 - 2:38pm.
Hi, Michael: Do you recognize anything about this fish plaque...could be a cheese plate I guess. Hole for eye (for holding or hanging). No marks on back.
It looks very much like some Danish fish "trivits" that I have... is it ceramic? My trivits are made of metal, same colors, same style but not exactly the same design.

I have a piece that is identical in shape w/a different color (a grayish blue-green) and different pattern. The one I have looks a lot like a flounder. The piece is marked: Arabia Made in Finland 5-66 (date?)

Dear Gayle,
