Eva Zeisel Monmouth
I recently acquired the bird salt and pepper shakers on eBay and put them and the matching teapot (which I've had for a couple years) out to admire. This morning I noticed an interesting swath of light fall across them and snapped this photo...
The darker bird form in the back is the range shaker in the Monmouth line in Blueberry, or perhaps failed Blueberry glaze--the glaze is a bit muddy with some browns coming through. The forms in the bright light at left are the more recent Klein Reid sugar bowl & creamer also designed by Eva.

Great lighting!
I love the lighting! Great job! I'm always fascinated with these Zeisel bird forms. They have a great sense of whimsey and fun, which is a common thread through all of her designs (in my opinion).

They are related...
Thanks for the compliment;)
Looking at the photo again I noticed how the curve of the range shaker fits into the curve to of the Klein Ried sugar bowl....
I do love Eva's bird forms--they are so fun and whimsical but not in a saccharine way--elegant Eva...
Thank You!
Thanks for sharing these wonderful Eva Zeisel designs! I find the Monmouth bird shapes captivating. You're fortunate to own this fabulous teapot and shakers. This pattern looks great on these shapes. Is it known as "Commas"?
I think it may be "Commas"
I think the pattern may be "Commas" but I am not positive--perhaps Mike or someone else knows better?
Commas
I do believe it is the Commas pattern, but I have to say I am not 100% positive either. Here's the thing. Many years ago, I ran across the names in a Good Design catalog from MOMA and perhaps a few other places. But nowhere, best I can recall, were all the names associated with pictures. The information was sent with pictures to Eva by the editor-author of the EZ book and Eva was able to identify what was what. But to complicate matters, the Eva Zeisel Times article on the pattern names showed the X's pattern and labeled it Commas. I'm dragging this all out of the deep vault and I don't know if this was in error or what.
I think Scott V. may be able to answer this question definitively next time he drops by.
