Vase by same maker
Hi Fran,
I have a vase by the same maker and have tried every which way to find out more about it. I bought it here in Michigan at a thrift store about a year ago and assumed it was a local artist. Please let me know if you are able to find anything. My vase is done in very much the same technique but has a flower pattern on it.If you would like to see pics I'll make a stab at uploading some.
Whoever she/he was, they sure were good!
Dear Shastacola,
I would love to see photos of your vase... please try to upload photos. (It took me a while to learn, and if I can do it, Anybody can).
My bowl has an abstract floral design inside, and came from a very high-priced Sedona estate of a mid-westerner who collected expensive art pottery. So, maybe the artist came from Michigan? Whoever she/he is, they are really good! I thought the initials on the bottom might be "VF" or "VT"...
Thank you for your information,
Sincerely,
Fran E.
Attempt at photo from Shastacola

I've added it to my gallery pic.I hope you can see it.I tried downloading the pic from my pic hosting account and it opened the whole thing.
Mystery Stoneware Maker...
Dear Shastacola,
Many Thanks!
Yup... same person who did my bowl! These can't possibly be the only pieces produced by him/her, and so it's just a matter of time before the mystery is solved. Thanks for following up, and hope to see the marks, too!
Kind regards,
Fran E.
I've seen these pieces, too.
The "look" is very familiar, but unfortunately I don't have any information. I like this bowl a lot!
I too have seen this mark,
I too have seen this mark, and similar pottery only over in Sweden......
