  • Identify Your Dish!
I picked thses dishes up at a benefit sale and love the pattern. I cannot for the life of me find any others of this pattern for sale anywhere on the internet! They are alleghenyware from canonsburg pottery co. but I have a feeling they might somehow be more related to steubensville pottery. Does anyone have any clue where I might be able to find more pieces in this mystery pattern?? Thank you so much! It is definately Canonsburg Pottery with that back stamp.

I find all of my pieces at yard sales, thrift shops and flea markets! i also watch Replacements LTD web site to see what they have gotten in. It is located in Greenboro, NC.

I personally have not found your pattern yet. I love it! and that is a new back stamp for me.

I am trying to put together a reference book on Canonsburg Pottery/China since i cannot find much information my self, i am hopeing i can help others identify thier pieces.

may i use your picture and back stamp in my collection of information? since it is new to me, i am excited about it!

Sorry i cannot be of more help, I find almost all of my pieces by chance. From Canonburg, PA to Florida, i am always on the hunt.

thanks

Canonsburg Pottery

An authoritative book on Canonsburg Pottery will require literally hundreds of hours or more of research time in the right libraries looking at certain hard to find trade journals. There are a number of ads for Canonsburg Pottery in these trade journals. Also, there is history to be found if you look really carefully and piece information together. I've put together a history of Canonsburg Pottery that remains unpublished. I've only assembled the modern patterns on Canonsburg that I could find. There are more traditional patterns as well.
