Albert studio pottery dishware
I am hoping someone knows something about an American studio potter who
signs his dishware with the name Albert. For many years I have been seeing
occasional small pieces of his work, mostly mugs and cups and saucers.
His style is midcentury modern and he uses red clay, often parially decorated
with glazes that are usually green. But recently at the sale of a midcentury
estate I picked up a much more elaborate, decorated piece, a square tray
or chop plate measuring 14.5 inches on each side, decorated with a
semi-abstract design in severa colors (I'll post a photo on this site if I can
figure out how to do it). Does anyone know anything about this person
and his work? I would love to hear about it. Best regards, Phillip Northman,
Atlanta.
